Half Marathon is over

The Stratton Faxon Fairfield Half Marathon is over 50% sold out and the 5K is close behind. This year's races are limited to 4,500 participants for the Half Marathon and 1,500 participants for the 5K. Half Marathon will once again sell out prior to raceday and 5K is on pace to sell out for the first time.
The new Half Marathon course will be faster, flatter and more scenic. The difficult hills of Greenfield Hill are gone! They have been replaced by a flat 5-mile stretch (during the middle of the race) along the beautiful Southport Beach and the gold coast of Westport. You can view the new course map on the race website, www.fairfieldhalf.org
The 5K is a flat course run entirely in Fairfield.
As always, runners can enjoy bands along the race course, sports massages, and a post race beach party featuring food, refreshments, live music, and an awards ceremony. Shower facilities, B-Tag timing, Half Marathon finisher medals, baggage claim, and free parking are also available for participants.
SECURITY UPDATE: In response to the Boston tragedy we are working with the local police departments to make sure our race remains safe for all participants, spectators, volunteers and general public. The Stratton Faxon Half Marathon & 5K will have many members of the Fairfield and Westport Police Department along with fire and medical personnel to make sure our race remains safe for all involved.
