오늘은 Track Tuesday 스피드 훈련하는날입니다!
저의 집 앞에 리버사이드 공원에서 200미터 육상track있습니다.
오늘 스피드 훈련은:
1 mile warmup
10 x 1 min strides at 5k pace
1 min recovery after each stride
1 mile warmdown
스피드 훈련? I believe that speed training is important at the beginning of a training cycle in order to teach your body (and more importantly legs) what it feels like to run at a faster pace. Once your body gets used to a faster pace then when you run at a slower half marathon or marathon pace, your body does not feel like it's working as hard. Speed training with short recovery intervals is also good for building up stamina.
