But over my long running career, I can recall only a handful of times that I've gone beyond the more standard 'in the zone' type of feeling and experienced a true runner's high. Those few occasions have left me with blissful elation, experiencing a running rhapsody as though gliding on air with a flowing, effortless, and exultant feeling."
